This German miniature picture Bible entitled Dess Alten Testaments Mittler: Dess Neuen Testaments Mittler, was produced by two sisters from Augsburg in the late seventeenth century; the two books were most likely designed for use in private devotion.

The books have been researched, presented and interpreted by Josephine Neil, a PhD candidate in Theology and the Arts, at King’s College London.

These objects were on display at The Courtauld Gallery from 1 May 2013 to 22 July 2013.
