Translation of Inscription:
Jacques de Gheyn. Painter and Sculptor
De Gheyn is an excellent engraver, and an experienced painter, a lucky inventor,1 Gillis Mostaert.and sound in judgment. Painting the standards of both war and peace, he is himself pleasing to the leader of the war, who is outstanding in skill. 2
