Following automated testing, and trial roll-out on the ‘development environment’ (dev.courtauld.ac.uk), 5 outstanding plugin updates and 4 theme updates have today been applied to courtauld.ac.uk.

A ‘milestone’ update was also applied to WordPress, taking it to version 5.4. This brings a number of more sizeable changes. Most of these are to the ‘blocks’ editor which isn’t in use on this site yet, however there are also lots of bug fixes and improvements to the WordPress systems for privacy-related matters. Read more at WordPress.org about all the changes.

Translation updates for all the changes have also been applied

No, or minimal, impact would be expected from these updates (and automated testing suggests all is fine) however it is more of a shift than usual as it includes a core update (and a database update with that). As usual do please let website@courtauld.ac.uk know if you notice any peculiarities.
