The Artful Line

From February 2020 to January 2021, the Harris Museum, Art Gallery and Library and the Courtauld Gallery collaborated on The Artful Line, an exhibition that explores how and why we draw from the perspective of both artist and viewer.

Featuring works from the 17th century to the present day, the exhibition included drawings by Angelica Kauffman, William Blake, Dante Gabriel Rossetti, Frank Auerbach and Deanna Petherbridge. Each drawing offering a unique insight into the mind of the artist and the process of making art.

The exhibition is available as a virtual tour on the Harris website, along with lots of other content from artists and experts. Take a look here: https://www.theharris.org.uk/product/the-artful-line-2/
