Linda Karshan Pre-Recorded Video Studio Tour<\/h2>\n

A video interview<\/a> with American artist and collector Linda Karshan, at her studio in Dulwich, London. The interview will give an insight into Karshan\u2019s studio practice and explore her series of prints\u00a0Slow Learner<\/em>\u00a0(2007) in terms of creative thresholds. The discussion will also touch on Henri Michaux\u2019s\u00a0Mescaline Drawing<\/em>\u00a0(1957), which Karshan and her late husband Howard Karshan collected and recently donated to the Courtauld Collection as part of the Karshan Gift, a suite of 20th-century drawings by modern American and European artists.<\/span><\/p>\n

John Maine Pre-Recorded Video Studio Tour<\/h2>\n

A video interview<\/a> with British artist John Maine, whose public sculptures can be found from Aberdeenshire, Scotland to Iberaki, Japan. The interview will take place at Maine\u2019s studio and explore his interest in public sculpture specifically focusing on\u00a0Arena<\/em>\u00a0(1983), which is located on London\u2019s South Bank. Examining archival footage, the visit will discuss Maine\u2019s experience carving the work in situ and the events that have taken place at\u00a0Arena<\/em>, the latest of which is a live dance performance that is part of the public programme for\u00a0Both Sides of Here<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Surfacing, Resurfacing: A Dance Performance<\/h2>\n

24 Jun 2021 Location: At John Maine\u2019s\u00a0Arena<\/em>, by The National Theatre (Theatre Ave, London SE1 9PX)<\/p>\n

A specially commissioned dance performance choreographed and performed by Nadine Elise Muncey and Hattie Harding, inspired by\u00a0Both Sides of Here: Artistic Encounters at the Threshold<\/em>\u00a0and John Maine\u2019s sculpture,\u00a0Arena<\/em>\u00a0(1983). The dance will be performed five times from between 4-7pm, starting on the hour and half past.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
